High quality manufacturer. Works great, but for PC's a UPS is best. Plenty of slots, your stereo, CD player will be protected here. Get a UPS with AVR for computer protection. This does not protect from outages or brown outs.

TrippLite makes great products, and eWiz offers them at great prices. With such a low price there is no reason your PC should be threatened from power surges.

I personally prefer UPS's for my computers, etc. But for other electronics like TVs, Stereos, etc these work great. Very innexpensive way to protect your investment if you life in lightning frequent areas.
We have brown outs and power fluctuations really bad, so these don't help a whole lot. In our case, UPS's with voltage regulation are about the only thing that can save you.

Good for alarm clocks and things like that. I wouldn't use it for a computer or TV or anything expensive. Just use it for kitchen kind of things like coffee makers, etc. Should do the job fine.
