Super tiny and fast Reviewed by James from Houston, TX on 04/20/08

I used to have one of the small 2GB wafer-like drives from Supertalent and while this one is a little thicker, it is much smaller overall, even smaller than I thought from the pictures and dimensions - amazing that it can hold 8GB! The housing is made out of metal, not plastic, so it's very sturdy.
Transfer speeds are relatively fast, I get about 10MB/s write, 25MB/s read when transferring files.
I had a little bit of trouble getting it to fit in one of my USB ports, but all other ports/computers I've tried it on worked fine. It seems to get a little warm while transferring, but no problems so far.
Overall, I'd say it's a great value considering the small size, huge capacity, and fast transfers. |

BUYERS!!!
I bought 5 of these flash drives just a week ago. I knew they were smallest in the world, but when they came I was shocked. I didn't even imagine they were THAT SMALL! I bought 5 for me and my friends, right now I'm going to order 10 more, because more people are asking for these.
P.S. I actually threw one of these in the water and guess what? IT WORKS!
So, don't wait buy one NOW! You wont regret it! |
Not only tiny... BUT SUPER FAST! Reviewed by Joe Crescenzi from Staten Island, NY on 04/18/08

I own over a dozen different flash drives.. some I leave connected to my servers and PCs as a backup, others I carry around as an off-site backup.
When I saw how small the PICO drives were, I thought I'd try them out as a simple portable backup. Today I got my shipment of Pico drives... (I ordered one of each style)... I was AMAZED at how small they are. They are even smaller than I imagined... which is fantastic. My older 8GB flash drive was so bulky that I couldn't fit it side-by-side with any other device. Not so with the Pico drives, they slide right in with plenty of room to spare... and they fit into my pocket and take up no more space than a couple of quarters. All three models are encased in genuine high polished metal cases, so they are not only small, but they are more durable than models 5 times the size.
But what truly caught me off guard is that THESE DRIVES ARE FAST! I did a few quick benchmarks and found that they were nearly twice as fast as my old flash drives... this makes my backup scripts fly! |

Seems to be very fast. I dumped some pictures onto the drive and read it back. Faster than my laptop hard drive. Small size, but seems to be solid and durable. |

I measured:
Write speeds at 11.982 MB/s
Read Speeds at 30.854 MB/s
Single file transfer (714 MB File) in 72secs
It's very small and feels good, durable and solid. I didn't test it's water resistance but for the price, quality and size, I'd get many more if I needed them. This is the first time I've ever purchased a Super Talent product. Company looks great so far!
Great buy!! Correction, GREAT STEAL!!!! |

What a great little device! Works great, but is so small it's easy to ALWAYS have it with you. I actually have it as a pendant on a neck chain I wear...and most folks who see it want one too.
No problems, none of that crappy U3 software preinstalled, and it's just plain cool. :) |

From looking at the picture and for that price you would expect it to be made of plastic and kind of crappy, but in all honesty I'm amazed at how well made it is.
The outer shell is shiny metal (because of this it will probably scratch) and I have no doubts that it indeed is water-proof.
It's incredibly small and yet feels so sturdy and even a little heavy (for its size of course).
I'm telling all my friends to get this. Well worth it. |
Amazing Flash Drive Reviewed by Anonymous from Denver, PA on 04/16/08

This flash drive is huge with that 8gb storage, and in a very very small drive. This drive is about as long as a AA battery, and is very thin. I use mine for working on computers to back stuff up, cause I am a computer repair IT person. This is the very best flash drive I have used, and very thin. I have seen other technicians drop there sony 2gb flash drive, and buy one of these, cause they are amazing, and sony isn't very amazing anymore. |
