the electricety that comes out of your wall is 125 volts. This can handle a surge of 300 volts, and will hopefully save your p.c.

Never tested a lightning strike, but a strip is handy to have. Extra plugs and a single strip can be plugged into your UPS. Good plug spacing for speakers, etc.

No surge protectors work...
Its better to get one of those battery backups for your stuff at home...
