These SATA cables have a right angled tip, which makes your case look much cleaner, especially when you have a case that have the hard drives cables exposed towards the side panel. These cables seem to work fine and I have not witnessed any handicaps in performance. 18 inch is usually sufficient for most people, but you could opt for a longer cable if you are planning to do some uber cable management. They are also RoHS complient, which is good. Overall, a nice cable that works well.

The Right Angle connector enables easier installation and a lower profile connection. Many of the newer cases have drives that are mounted with the connection toward the door. The Right Angle provides better clearance and removes the stress put on cables when the clearance is minimal.
