This isn't a fancy colored cable, nor is it cat6. But, for a patch cable from a box into the switch, I like to use the shorter length cables. Great price.

A shorter length is good for small installs. If you have 12 or fewer ports, a 1footer looks great. No extra length.

For a quick and dirty patch cable, I like the 1 footers. Doesn't eat up a bunch of space, easy to follow and identify.
Simple Setup, good punch down on the cables.
