The best, and most useful PSU field tester that I've used in 30+ years of building and troubleshooting PCs.
...and probably the cheapest one I ever bought!
The only thing squirrelly I've found about this tester is some of the reviews I've read that made me a bit concerned about the quality before I got it and started to use it. This thing is rock solid and dead on according to my $250.00 multimeter. One guy said it seemed cheap and rattled when he shook it...Not if you hold your finger on the "free-floating" On/Off push-button. Another complained about how hard it is to disconnect the cables...that's how cable connectors are....it (continued...)
The manufacturer probably would not approve of this, but I found a flaky PSU that always passed static tests, by using a Y splitter power cable and monitering the voltages all the way through the boot sequence...Bingo!

This is great, I've never had one before and mostly used Volt/Ohm Meters and this is right on with all the voltages and specifics.
you have to hold the button down and not let go of it.
Needed something to verify that I needed a new PSU.
