Had two fail in four months. First failed Sept. 2011, replacement failed Dec. 2011.
No warnings of any kind, just can't be seen by BIOS after a power cycle.
Pro Tip:
ALWAYS do a BACKUP!!!
You are not paranoid just because these machines hate you.
Hard drives only seem to fail when you start to skip backups.
