Reviewed by huy pham from oklahoma city, OK on 01/28/10

The Good:    Much better than stock cooler. It does a good job if doing non or light over clock will Keep my i5 750 Idle at around 30C and 65C under 100% load at overclocked 3.2 Ghz, more than that temp could get up to 70C+. Installation was easy when u figured it out. Took me 10 mins to open and look at instruction sheet, 15 min to put this thing in. It fit OK on my GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3 LGA 1156. It does worth 26$ I spent. Shipping came in 3 days as expected.
The Squirrelly:    I dont think it worth 37$ in newegg. Too bad not too many ppl know Ewiz yet.
Pro Tip:    Buy this baby here for only 26-27$ , don't buy it at newegg.

The Good:    Cooled my processor down about 10 degrees, it doesn't weigh 5 pounds like other coolers, it utilizes the original AMD bracket, you don't need to remove the motherboard to install it, and it's inexpensive,!
The Squirrelly:    None yet.

The Good:    Works great. Went from 2.67 Ghz i7 920 with stock heatsink and fan to a nice 3.4 Ghz stable with Prime95. I'd say its worth every penny. Super easy to install no need to take out mobo like some others. Nice price too.
The Squirrelly:    I've heard of people breaking pins off. But I couldn't imagine doing that without being completely careless. It was easy peasy.
Pro Tip:    Don't rush it. I used a screwdriver to help get the pins all the way in. But as long as you just take your time its cake. Just follow the picture instructions. Thats it.

The Good:    AWESOME COOLER!!! I using this on the ASRock AM3+ 970 Extreme4 mobo. My AM3 Athlon II X3 RANA @2.9GHz ran @ 25-27C idle (cool & quiet enabled) and @ 45-50 while gaming, It now runs around 19C idle and 27-30C gaming. AMAZING. I've wanted this cooler for such a long time. I'm so happy to finally get it and see such an improvement in CPU temps. Even while folding work units for Folding @ Home it barely goes over 31C.
The Squirrelly:    There's 2 reasons why I would knock off half a star. The main one being that I couldn't get the fan to expel the air towards the rear of the case like I prefer. It's pushing the hot air up and unfortunately I have a top mounted PSU. This will be solved with my next upgrade when I get a new case. The other reason for knocking off a 1/2 star is that I'm used to AMD CPU heatsinks using a clip and not using screws. This cooler does require 1 tiny screw per clip, two total, one per side, for AMD sockets. You have to partially insert the screws, push the clips in place, then tighten the screws. It was pretty easy though. Overall I still couldn't knock off a whole star. It does it's job superbly and you don't need a black belt in mobo-do to install it.
Pro Tip:    For AMD socket install, it helped me a bit to have someone hold the heatsink in place while I got the screws partially inserted into the clips then pushed them in place. After you get the clips pushed in place all you gotta do is tighten them up.

The Good:    Good price, fast ewiz.com shipping
The Squirrelly:    I had great experience with the first Freezer 7 Pro with my Core 2 Duo so I decided to go with Rev 2 for my i5 build. I now regret the purchase. The plastic tabs were very tough to snap into my P55 motherboard. Arctic Cooling definitely took a step backward with this revision of the the Freezer 7 Pro.

The Good:    - Makes much less noise than my stock AMD Phenom fan - Not too big and will fit in most towers - Just from size it'll do better than most stock heatsinks.
The Squirrelly:    - Was mildly difficult to install since it doesn't use a clamp style method to ensure a complete seal - Can't tell if it's running cooler because the motherboard isn't registering the heat correctly. It's always at 50c no matter the load. It hasn't gone over 60c since the machine auto-shutdowns at that temp, so at least I know it doesn't get too hot. - It doesn't completely cover the top of the processor. Does not transfer heat as well as it could.
Pro Tip:    It works but I would recommend something else if your budget is $40 for a heatsink. It is certainly not a bad choice, just meant for Intel CPUs since their chips are usually smaller than AMD and the heatsink isn't big enough to cover common AMD chips.

The Good:    Astounding size compared to the chip it is cooling! Extremely efficient design keeps my rebuilt machine's Phenom 965 quad core idling at 28 C. Gigabyte GA-790FXTA-UD5 system board idles at about 33 C with continuous use. Fortunately my large Antec case accommodates the Freezer 7 pro Rev.2 where a smaller case might not. Install was a little challenging. You do not need to remove the motherboard to install the backing Read with care and check out the videos on YouTube to make certain you know how the put things together.
The Squirrelly:    Size are big. The bracket is not secure.

The Good:    Easy mounting, come pre applied with decent thermal paste. At first, I installed the fan with too much thermal paste and the temperatures ran 24C - 73C for my i5 750 cpu non-OCed. After reinstalling the fan correctly, running the cores at 95%+ results in a high temp of about 55C. Idling is about 20C. Works great, just make sure you position the fan to not interfere with where the memory/video cards go.
The Squirrelly:    Kind of big, but will fit in most medium cases and all large cases.

The Good:    Easy to install. No need to work from underside of mobo. Can adjust mounting pressure with 2 screws. Feels sturdy. Good heat conduction.
The Squirrelly:    DEAD FAN! Just my tough luck. Totally not worth a RMA when you purchased it cheaply from eWiz. I might try mounting a replacement 92mm fan if I can find one.
