For the price, the Zalman ZM-F3 offers great value. It comes with some soft case fan standoffs and a silent mode adapter, which is simply a 7V resistor. At stock, the fan can be quite loud, but when used with the resistor it is silent and still gives sufficient airflow. It is ideal for silent users on a budget that do not have a fan controller.

Good case replacement. The120's can be loud. Replace with this one and the noise is almost perfect silence.

Matter of fact this thing is so quiet you might actually be able to hear the mouse now. Not the most powerful but it works.

The Zalman 120mm fan is smooth as silk while running. Very quiet, and impressive. Moves the air like most fans without the undue noise.
Check your case, older ones used the smaller 80mm fans. This is a monster at 120mm

The Zalman folks know cooling. Nice and quiet, just the way I like my systems. At 120mm, it will fit in the latest cases and provides good airflow.
