I've had this processor over a year now and all I can say is that I am very satisfied with it. It is quite fast and can handle most of my software without any lag. However, due to being a single core, I must comment that heavy multitasking with this processor isn't its best feature. For example, playing a game like FEAR and encoding a DVD isn't a good idea lol. Still, it can handle most of the things you throw at it. I've overclocked it to 2.5GHz sucessfully, but I couldn't go higher due to my motherboard. If you're still in the market for a 939pin processor, this could be your pick! |
Definately a good gaming cpu. Reviewed by Anonymous from Denver, PA on 11/02/06

the 3500+ is an incredible gaming processor. Super fast. Install on the socket 939 A8N by Asus and you have a top of the line gamer. It will compete with the dual cores! Super fast. |

This is an awesome gaming processor. The dual cores and FX processors have gotten all the buzz based on their successful gaming performance. THis processor is a single core, but incredibly fast too. Awesome performance |

If you are a gamer, the AMD's blow away Intel processors in gaming. If your not a gamer, you will still be very happy with the performance.
Very fast single core processor. For gaming, you cannot beat this one at this price. If you have the money, you can go for one of the FX processors, but you could build a whole system with this processor for the price of the FX-60
Very nice, 512k cache would be nicer at 1mb, but oh well. |

AMD processors are very good at gaming because they have an integrated memory controller. This means that there is less latency between the RAM and CPU. |

PROS: Great speed for single threaded applications. Tears through games, encoding, and rendering. Great performance for the price. 64 bit extensions are a great way to prepare for the future of software. CONS: Will suffer during heavy multitasking. |
