Amd owns alot but they don't beat the Intel core 2 duo. This processor is like an intel P4 3.0Ghz but better in games.

Want to go cheap and get the most out of it? Buy this processor. 1.8 Ghz is the standard speed but has the potential to go 2.7 Ghz (fx55 is only 2.6) or faster, if you tweak better than I. I have been running this processor for 2 years and I'm still loving it. I reached 2.3 Ghz on stock air cooling and I'm sure anyone could do the same but for the 2.7 you would want to go liquid. Bang for the buck should be the name, not 3000+..)
Great Gaming processor. Reviewed by Anonymous from Denver, PA on 11/02/06
If your a gamer you came to the right place just stay away from intel unless its the intel core 2 duo.
I heard the intel core 2 duo you can install windows xp in just 9 minutes.

To be up to date, you need an AM2. However, the 939's really perform (according to reports) as fast or slightly faster than the AM2's. Build a great system with a huge range of upgrades with this processor. Good cache size and fast FSB speeds.

Love the 939 processors. For a gaming rig, you cannot ask for a better processor. Blows away Intels best. Great for gaming and anything you throw at it.
I have this CPU in my 2nd rig, it is THE BEST BUDGET CPU!!! Reviewed by Thankappa Pillai from La Crosse, WI on 07/17/06
this is such a good price for this CPU . of course the socket 754 one is $10 less, that is a very good choice also, but this runs cooler, is easier to overclock (i got it to 2.6, which is the same as a 4000+!!! so basically i got a $300 CPU for the $120 i paid at that time) and socket 939 is by far the most trusted and best socket as it supports dual channel and is cheap for very good performance. if you overclock, get this cpu, but if you dont overclock and dont want to, i would get a 3500+ for just $10 more, for just $10 more you can get the equivalent of 500MHz intel faster than this and it is worth it!
ALL the 939 CPUs are at very good prices right now, and you should take advantage :)

The computers work great especially for video games!!!
I think that i will have these computers for about 5 years and will only have to upgrade the cpu and the video card!!!

PROS: Price wise, this is a very good choice. Offers great speed while not breaking the bank. CONS: Lower clock speed and lower L2 cache may cause some slow downs.
