Nice Enclosure for 2.5" HDs 2008-04-16 15:43:28 Reviewed by Brandon Kikuchi from Monterey Park, CA US

|
As recommended by an eWiz rep, I coupled the 2.5" iMicro enclosure with a 2.5" Samsung HD and couldn't be happier.
The enclosure was easy to assemble and is very eye-appealing. The only complaint that I have is that its shiny exterior leaves fingerprints easily.
Great overall product and would recommend to others looking for a 2.5" enclosure. |

| The Good:
I've had this card for a good long while now (Don't even remember when I ordered it). It hasn't failed, and my transfer rates have been as advertised. I have yet to see it max out at the theoretical 125MBytes/s, but it seems that the hard drives I'm using to transfer files are the limiting factor this generation. Worked fine in Windows and Ubuntu. |
| The Squirrelly:
Not much in the way of bad things to say about this card. |

| The Good:

| The Squirrelly:
Assigns only one drive letter and therefore can only read one card-at-a-time. Ordered two of these and the first one failed after inserting a CF card the third time (noticed one of the pins pushed out-of-sight). Also, installation holes on the plastic outer skin do not line up with the case holes. |
| Pro Tip:
Spring for a more expensive metal unit that assigns drive letters for each type of card. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLASTIC UNIT! |

| The Good:
These units are simple no nonsense add on that works great. Only used the SD slot so far but that is what our camera needs. Works with SDHC cards, according to manufacturer these also support the newer SDXC (eXtream Capacity), but I have not tested this.
Simple design, nice long cord for reaching the USB header on the motherboard. |
| The Squirrelly:
ordered 15 of these and they all came with the black bezel only. That is what I needed but the picture showes this coming with two faceplates. If you want the other one you might ask SuperBiiz if it is included before you order.
Red LED is always on, on the front. This isn't a big deal and culd probably by cut off if you poped the cover off. |
| Pro Tip:
XP pro assigns a Drive letter to all the slots. Windows 7 only shows up when a card is installed. (found that 7 does assign as well but they are hidden, if you have hidden files turned on, you will see them) |

| The Good:
Software is excellent and source is available if you want to do something special. I've worked with a lot of IP surveillance cameras and the software on the NDF130 is on par with the best of them. It is also supported by non-Windows browsers. I've used it with firefox on a Mac and on a Ubuntu box.
Case is well built as is plastic dome. Definitely an outdoor camera ready for the elements. |
| The Squirrelly:
I'm sending back the first one I received because the image doesn't stay focused across the entire image with the zoom set to almost full width. It looks like the lens isn't properly aligned with the imager, but I'm not going to risk playing with adjusting it without support from Intellinet. I did get one email from Intellinet in response to a inquiry I sent them. They asked me to email them an image, but I never heard from them again even after several more emails. |
| Pro Tip:
Good design and build, but so far quality control is lacking. I'm going to ask SuperBiiz to send me another one to see if the same problem is there. |

Dual Monitor 2007-01-11 14:05:21 Reviewed by 2Tall from Sandsprings, OK US

The dual headed option is a nice to have, but the 5200 / 128mb option is rather old. This card is priced a tad high for this generation. Unless you need the dual head and cannot afford a Matrox, this is an option. |

The price is a bit steep for a this older 5200 nVidia card. The dual head option is the only big draw. Jaton products have performed well in past experience. Have used their modems, video cards, and audio cards. Good products, would buy from Jaton again. |

Not bad for an old PCI 2006-10-11 07:50:42 Reviewed by Anonymous from Billings, MT US

THe FX5200's were all the range a few years ago. THis card is dual head and PCI. This enables a 3 monitor setup with an AGP or PCIe video card. Fast performance for PCI, you won't go gaming, but for multimedia a great option. |
